MANILA, Philippines – Popular ABS-CBN reporter Atom Araullo wants to try acting in television or film.
In the “Tanong All U Can” segment of “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” on Tuesday, Araullo said acting is not new to him since he was involved in theater before becoming a journalist.
“Actually, I have tried acting before. I was in theater for a long time. I really enjoyed it, and who knows, malay mo, sa future magkaroon ng opportunity. Hindi naman sarado ang aking pinto,” he said.
When asked which performer he would like to work with, Araullo picked actress Eugene Domingo.
Meanwhile, the heartthrob journalist refused to disclose who among the Kapamilya stars is his crush.
“Marami. Huwag na nating banggitin, baka ma-tsismis pa tayo,” he said.
In 2010, Araullo was named by Spot.ph as the "prettiest newsman on national TV" for his lean frame, mestizo features and boyish charm.
He graduated with a degree in Applied Physics at the University of the Philippines, where he was a well-known activist.
He is also a champion triathlete and trained in soccer, tennis, volleyball, taekwondo, platform diving, mountaineering and underwater diving.
