Pia Hontiveros gave birth to her baby boy

ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) anchor and "Strictly Politics" host Pia Hontiveros gave birth to her baby boy named Zio early this morning. Baby Zio was born around 12:15 A.M., Pia gave birth to a healthy baby boy which is the youngest among her children. She is married to R’win Pagkalinawan, a superintendent of the Philippine National Police.

Pia and her whole family said thanks to all of her Twitter followers and her colleagues in ABS-CBN for the prayers and support. Last time, her condition was very crucial because of her pregnancy might be at risk and she needed to leave her job to monitor the condition of her precious baby boy.

Three Kapamilya Newsmen have chosen The Top 10 Cutest Newsmen 2011 Edition.

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN News Channel's (ANC) Warren de Guzman is one of the cutest television newsmen in the country, according to the 2011 list made by website Spot.ph.

De Guzman, an executive producer and newscaster at ANC, landed on the 8th spot of the website’s "Top 10 Cutest TV Newsmen: 2011 Edition."

To prove how sought after de Guzman was, his short description on the site pointed out how frustrating it is to see less of him on television.

Pipol, magbabalik-telebisyon na!

Magbabalik telebisyon na ang News and Current Affairs program na Pipol ni Ces Drilon sa ABSCBN News Channel oa ANC alas 9:30 ng gabi.

Matagal rin namayagpag ang Pipol ni Ces Drilon sa telebisyon kung saan sinasalamin ang buhay ng isang tao o personalidad.

Masaya naman si Ces sa pagbabalik ng kanyang original current affairs program. Ipapalabas niya ang mga kuwentong hindi pa niya naitatampok  sa naunang Pipol sa ABSCBN.

Pipol premieres October 10 on ANC.

Atty. Adel Tamano is the new face of ANC

Atty. Adel Tamano joins with ANC as a new host of his first chat show on television. The "Tamano Perspective" airs on Thursday starting July 14 at 7 PM on ANC (Sky Cable Channel 27). The show will talk about the latest issues with smart conversations and uninterrupted opinion coming from himself. The local and national news even in the social networking site will bring the most comprehensive updates in the said program.

As a lawyer and advocate, Tamano said that there is no fence-sitting on his first program. This engagement in televison can help him to see his venture to learn new skills as he will host the show for the very first time, and it can also find new ways to serve people. This program can help the people to be awaken in the current issues of today and to encourage them to take as one nation.

Tamano is an icon of the United Opposition in 2007 and run for Senatorial Seat in the last year's elections. He is also lectures legal writing and a scholar of Harvard University. He has also partnerships in Kapunan, Tamano, Javier & Associates and he is the president of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

"I won't be a naive anchor discussing matters that I haven't been seen or experienced. I've been given a rare peek into the inner workings of power at the very highest level of government. In a way, I'm a veteran - though young in age - in political experience and I hope to be able to use that experience so that I can provide better insight and analysis for our viewers, Tamano said.

Aside from his new chatshow, ANC will also premiere the new season of "View From The Top" anchored by David Celdran on Monday at 9:30 PM.

ABS-CBN partners with BBC, the world’s largest broadcasting organization, to bring you the most comprehensive coverage of the much-awaited royal wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Williamof Wales to Catherine Middleton with the exclusive telecast of BBC special documentaries and the live coverage of the wedding on April 29.

ABS-CBN and ANC documentary show "Storyline" won silver and bronze award in this year's New York Festival. The said movie and television award held in Las Vegas, Nevada recognizes some of the best works in television, advertising and film.

They got Silver World Medal for Biography and Profiles Category and Bronze World Medal for Community Portraits Category, and finalist certificate for Social Issues/Current Events Category. This award-winning documentary program was produced by Patricia Evangelista and Paolo Villaluna and airs every Wednesdays on ABS-CBN and Thursdays on ANC.

Their winning entries were "Alexis and Nica : A Love Story" where the love story of a film critic and film journalist has become to an end due to a tragic incident, "Orphan" which tells the story of a nurse-policeman in Mindanao who saved the life of a young victim of massacre and became his adopted daughter, and "Stolen" (Dukot) that covers the three victims of the extra judicial killings of the suspected communist rebels and supporters in the past administration.
