Ted Failon named broadcaster of the year

The Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) has named ABS-CBN news anchor Ted Failon as broadcaster of the year.

Failon, host of “Failon Ngayon” and "TV Patrol," was selected by the RCM board of judges for the award.
The RCM organized its journalism awards in 1966 to honor outstanding contributions of individuals and media agencies in print, television, and radio.

The club has had an outstanding record of leadership in the community for almost 14 years.

This year's awards again honor outstanding journalists in the tri-media and the social media.

Failon, who is known to be one of the Kapamilya Network's pride, has proven his best in numerous television and news programs and in providing public service.

He was invited to attend the awarding ceremonies on Thursday at the Manila Polo Club to personally receive his award.
